How do i start off getting a copywriting job in Australia?. I just graduated a Bbus Majoring in advertising.?
Cold call advertising agencies that you would like to work for. Drop off your resume or ask to speak to the human resources manager or the head of the creative department. Try approaching smaller ad agencies, publishing companies use copywriters, send samples of your work with a resume outlining your talents, if you've just graduated you need to start at the bottom, as a copywriter with 8 years experience in marketing it is always useful to pull of a few (or at least one!) really great jobs to add to your resume, even if you live of that great job or idea everytime you submit a job application. When you've got nothing to do write copy or design ads for a product and attach them to your resume. I think getting work in this business is mostly about word of mouth, networking and getting to know people.
